DAILY DEVOTIONS...

DAILY DEVOTIONS TO GROW YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE AND CONNECTION WITH GOD…

FIERCELY LOVE

Do the words 'fiercely loved' spark hope within you, or do you disqualify yourself from such an intense promise? Understanding that you are fiercely loved is vital because it changes everything. Your Creator’s love for you is neither passive nor indifferent. Though the phrase 'Jesus loves you' is often heard, His love is profound and transformative, greater than any human love. God doesn't just have love for you; He embodies it. This love is not mere affection; it consumes, refines, comforts, and restores. Such intense love is beyond human capacity and can only be ascribed to the One who created and sacrificed for us. As described in 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,' 'He’s wild, you know. Not like a tame lion.' The Creator's love is unmanageable and unchanging. In Christ, this love is forever settled. Now, it’s time for you to embrace it for yourself.

DIVINE HEALING

The Bible often contains small phrases that signal significant transitions. A profound experience of God's kingdom took place one day. As Peter and John went to the temple to pray on an ordinary day, they encountered a lame man asking for money. Instead of money, Peter offered him Jesus and healing. In that moment, the man was healed both spiritually and physically in Jesus' name. This may make us uncomfortable, but it highlights how God can reveal his power and purpose in extraordinary ways. While we might not always witness such healings, we see the power of God's kingdom in restored families, freedom from addiction, and other remarkable transformations. These moments offer a glimpse of what Jesus came to do and the full restoration he will bring.

FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is not only about letting go of wrongs done to us but also about accepting that we have been truly forgiven. Guilt can obscure the cross's message, "It Is Finished." Once forgiven, our sins are erased and removed as far as the east is from the west. We shouldn’t dwell on forgiven sins, we should accept God's forgiveness and forgive ourselves. Daily confession and God's faithfulness in forgiving and cleansing us are vital. We are most like God when we forgive others, as opposed to judging or harboring anger. Holding onto unforgiveness causes pain and blocks healing. Confession and prayer for forgiveness restore us and set us on a firm foundation. Forgiveness, coupled with praise and a forgiving heart, opens the way to God's fellowship. Be kind, compassionate, and forgiving, just as God forgave you.

POWER OF PRAYER

Have you ever been frustrated by prayer? It's common to feel disappointed when our requests to God seem unanswered. We often focus on the promise in John 15:7, "ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you," but overlook the condition: "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you." This means fully submitting to the Lord and His timing, being open to His plan rather than clinging to our own desires. When the Holy Spirit dwells in us and we allow God to work in our lives, we often see that His plan is far greater than ours. Living truly for Christ means praying according to His will, not our own, which requires humility. Matthew 5:16 encourages us to let our light shine before others to glorify God. Draw near to Christ and find hope in knowing that when we pray according to His will, our prayers will be answered. Through prayer, we can experience God and grow in our faith. Even in discouragement, remember that God works through our lives when we give our hearts to Him. This is very powerful.
